STRIVE Program – Build Confidence, Skills, and Your Future
The STRIVE Program is a Pre-Technical program for students in grades 9–12 via the IEP process that focuses on developing the essential skills needed for success in school, work, and life. STRIVE emphasizes teamwork, social skills, communication, employability, and basic math skills, giving students the chance to grow in a supportive and hands-on environment.
Learning happens both in the classroom and through real experiences. Students practice employability and communication skills through classroom discussions, woodworking projects, greenhouse activities, and field trips. Academics include basic math, writing assignments, and group discussions around current events using Scholastic Upfront Magazine. These experiences help students connect learning to the real world while building the personal and professional skills they’ll carry forward.
Because STRIVE is a pre-technical program, a visit and meeting with the instructor are required before admission. Students accepted into the program earn 4 credits (PM only) on a pass/fail basis.
👉 STRIVE helps students strengthen life skills, explore interests, and prepare for the next step toward independence and success.
