Explore CTE Program – Test Your Skills. Find Your Path.

Freshman year is the perfect time to explore, experiment, and discover what excites you most. The Explore CTE Program is a semester-long course that introduces students to the world of Career and Technical Education through one unforgettable, hands-on project:

👉 Building an Escape Room—from the ground up.

Students will learn the basics of Building Construction, Electrical Trades, Computer Careers, and Graphic Designwhile working together to design and build their own escape room. You’ll construct walls and secret doors, wire lights and electronic locks, design puzzles and graphics, and connect everything to a computer monitoring system.

Along the way, you’ll also explore all 12 technical programs offered to juniors and seniors at WCTC, giving you a clear picture of the options available for your future.

This program doesn’t just build projects—it builds confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills that will serve you in any path you choose.
