2007 SkillsUSA National Competition
Corey Needham of the Networking Technology program represented Waldo County
Technical Center in the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference
held in Kansas City, Missouri. He participated in the secondary division of
the Computer Maintenance Technology (CMT) competition, placing 7th after two
days of skills demonstrations in a group of 43 competitors. The conference
was held June 25 – 30 with skills competitions representing many
trades.
During the competition, Corey achieved CompTIA A+ certification and
performed a variety of computer service, diagnostic and configuration tests.
Following the competition, he is planning to pursue a college degree with a
computer technology concentration.
