Computer & Networking Technology :: Hall of Fame

Hall of Fame
There are students in the program who demonstrate their interest and commitment to the trade by choosing to exceed the requirements of the courses.  Some students demonstrate this through their contributions, service, and volunteerism, or by taking the CompTIA certification exams. Each year, WCTC sponsors students who demonstrate an interest and motivation to take these trade skill exams.  Other students have performed in noteworthy ways that have furthered their own skills or assisted the program.  Students who were in the program for several years are listed based on the year that they were first recognized for their work.

The CompTIA A+ exam is typically taken by students in the Computer Technology course and it consists of two written exams covering the hardware and software skills needed to demonstrate the equivalent of six months work experience in the trade.

The CompTIA Network+ exam is typically taken by students in the Networking Technology course and it consists of one written exam covering the conceptual, practical, and troubleshooting skills needed to service and maintain a variety of network configurations.  The Network+ exam is designed to represent the knowledge needed by networking technicians with nine months work experience in the trade.
