Automotive Technology
The Automotive Technology program gives students an opportunity to learn the
essential skills for performing maintenance and diagnostics in the automotive
industry. Students will be applying skills by working on vehicles in the
shop and through demonstrations. The Automotive Technology program is
aligned with NATEF and students are encouraged to prepare for industry
certifications.
Ford/Triple A Troubleshooting written examination - 2006
Belfast Area High School and Waldo County Technical Center Automotive students
Josh Dudley and Jason Fletcher placed in the top 20 of more than 250 students
who took the Ford/Triple A Troubleshooting written examination. Because of
their finish they will compete with nine other teams around the state in the
"hands on" portion of the contest. This year's contest vehicles will be 10
identical 2006 Ford Escapes.
