General site policies
Waldo County Technical Center gathers statistical information about visits to
the site. This permanent log information includes the time and date that resources are
requested, the requesting IP address, and the specific resource requested.
Although IP addresses are logged, they are used for security monitoring and
determining site usage patterns. No attempt to personally identify
visitors based on this information is performed. Cookies are not currently
used on the primary site, but may be added in the future for the purpose of setting user
preferences. This page will be updated to include a notice regarding these
changes when they occur.
Moodle portal policies
The Moodle portal (https://www.waldotech.org/moodle)
uses cookies extensively as part of the session tracking process. This
cannot be changed as it constitutes a major portion of the site functionality.
In addition, Moodle provides mechanisms for logging and tracking access to the
portal. This information includes the date and time, user account, and
content accessed on the portal. Waldo County Technical Center uses this
data to determine the usage patterns of the site and to monitor security.
Privacy policy changes
The management of Waldo County Technical Center maintains authority to change
privacy policies if the changes are deemed important to the security or
assessment of the site. These changes can occur at any time, but will be
accompanied by updated statements on this page reflecting the changes.
Accessibility
The Waldo County Technical Center web site is not explicitly written to comply
with any web accessibility guidelines. However, the site will be modified
to improve compliance with the WAI-A and Section 508 guidelines. Currenly,
only the home page has been evaluated for compliance with basic accessibility
requirements. The school is interested in providing accessible content for
all visitors and strives to further extend the compliance evaluations.
