June 2003
In June 2003 taxpayers approved a $350,000 loan from the state revolving
fund. This amount was far less than requested, but monies were only
available for "priority one" needs. This money was used as follows:
1. Create a new area for the displaced Horticulture/Natural Resources program
2. Construct ADA restroom in shop area
3. Install new electrical service
4. Bring well cap above ground to comply with code.
5. Purchase material to construct new storage garage with storage facility for
oxygen and acetylene tanks for welding
6. Start paving parking areas
| A new facility has been constructed for the
Horticulture/Landscaping and the Natural Resources programs by enclosing
a portion of the covered storage area in north west corner. |
 |
 |
Large cooler for fresh flower and other controlled storage in the
new area |
| The area was constructed with lots of open space to
facilitate the various needs of the programs, like floral arrangement,
wreath making, seed starting, and indoor plant care. |
 |
 |
During this phase, all entrance services were brought up to code.
A new transformer and entrance service were installed. The well
head was brought to prevent ground water seepage into the water system,
and new phone and data cables was installed. |

The new storage garage constructed by the Building Construction
class is about done. It will house the school vehicles |
| The two doors behind the tractor awaiting repair by the diesel class
