General Information
- The Technical Programs at Waldo County Technical Center are offered to complement adult education programs in MSAD’s 3, 34, and 56.
- All fees listed are course fees only. Additional fees may be required for materials and supplies.
- Senior citizens age 65 and older will receive a 25% discount on all classes.
- A minimum of eight (8) students is needed to run a course.
- Refunds will be made if a course is canceled.
- Refunds will be given within 30 days of classes starting.
- Pre-registration with 10% deposit is suggested to insure enrollment into courses with a limited number of openings.
- Snow days - whenever two (2) of the three (3) sending high schools are not in session due to severe weather conditions
then WCTC Adult Education classes are canceled also. A message will be left on the on the Adult Ed voice mail 342-5231 ext 202.
Offerings for the 2007-2008 School Year
Courses will start on September 6, 2006. The schedule will be posted prior to course start
dates.
Courses providing opportunities for certification or licensure are indicated
with a certificate icon.

Mexican, Irish, Sushi and Indian cuisines will be studied and prepared, then if all goes well consumed.

Certified Nursing Assistant

This 170-hour course prepares an
individual for the state certification examination. Students will learn skills
necessary to provide health care in a hospital or nursing home setting. This
course also involves daytime clinical practice. Uniform fees are additional.
Pre-registration is recommended. Minimum of 8/Maximum of 16 students.
Informational meeting and final
registration will take place on 01/14/08 at 6:00 pm. All students interested in
taking the class must attend this night. Complete details of class and clinical
hours will be given. To finalize registration students must pay $75.00 to cover
the cost of textbook and background check on 01/16/08. $325.00 of tuition is
due by 01/23/08 with payment in full made by 02/28/08.

Fee: $650.00 Plus 75.00 book and background check.

This course is designed to teach students beginning welding skills. Accommodations will also be made for students who
are more advanced and wish to practice for basic American Welding Society (AWS) structural certification test.
*Interested students must attend the first class in order to be able to take Welding class

Parents of teens—Here’s a way to connect with your son or daughter. Come to our Thursday night skateboard engineering,
design and construction course, and enter the world of the fastest growing sport/sub-culture. Parents and their teenager
will laminate maple or composite decks, shape as desired, add graphics and clearcoat. Who knows we might even learn what
an “olie” is.
